Utah’s Wyatt Sorensen heads to Dawson CC

GLENDIVE – Wyatt Sorensen from Bear River High School in Garland, Utah has committed to Dawson Community College Baseball.

While at Bear River, Sorensen capped off a great high school career with an outstanding senior season earning numerous accolades. The middle infielder was selected First Team All-Region and the Standard-Examiner named him All-Area 2nd Team. He was selected to the Utah 3A 2nd Team by the Salt Lake Tribune and Utah 3A All-State First Team by the Deseret Newspaper.

“We got the chance to work out Wyatt while we were down in Utah and I am glad we did,” said DCC head coach Chris Lewis. “He has the actions of a good infielder, he can run very well and he can swing that bat as well. It became very apparent in a short amount of time that he comes from a great supportive family, he is a good baseball player, but more importantly, he is the type of young man we want in this program, hardworking and hard-nosed. We are really excited to have him in the program and he will have a shot to compete right away.”
