Alabama baseball: Bohannon, players dealing with tough roster decisions
TUSCALOOSA — John Trousdale grew up dreaming of playing for the Alabama baseball team.
And last year, mostly in a pinch-hitting role, the former Lauderdale County High standout achieved a taste of that dream — just enough to leave him craving more.
Because new Alabama baseball coach Brad Bohannon inherited a messy roster situation from fired coach Greg Goff, Trousdale is among several members on last season’s team dealing with an uncertain future with the team after electing a different path for the upcoming season.
Julien arrives as Auburn’s newest ‘Eagle de guerre’ from Quebec
AUBURN – Language is no longer a sufficient recruiting barrier for Auburn baseball.
Nearly two years ago, Auburn head coach Butch Thompson walked into a room with people who didn’t and weren’t by themselves going to understand his recruiting pitch. Or so he thought.
On the flip side, the commitment, signing and arrival of infielder Edouard Julien finally gave Thompson the ability to put his foreign language education from high school and junior college to use.
