The Jackets and Bulldogs will face off at SunTrust Park, the new home of the Atlanta Braves, on May 9.

“As always our 2017 schedule will be challenging. We play all the schools in our state in a home and home format and we also have midweek dates with both Oklahoma and Auburn at home as well this year,” stated head coach Danny Hall. “The third UGA game shifts to SunTrust Park which will be exciting for our players and fans. The ACC is one of the top conferences in the country year in and year out and we have a number of quality conference opponents coming to our place this year. Louisville will visit Russ Chandler Stadium for the first time as a member of the ACC, in addition to Clemson, UNC, Pitt and Virginia. The Flats will be host to some exciting baseball in 2017!”

The Yellow Jackets’ 56-game slate and the 24th season for Coach Hall begins Friday, Feb. 17 versus BYU at Russ Chandler Stadium at 4 p.m. Tech also welcomes Marshall (Feb. 18) and Western Michigan (Feb. 19) to The Flats on opening weekend.

Following a road bout at Georgia Southern (Feb. 21), Coach Hall’s squad returns home for an eight-game home stand versus Youngstown State (Feb. 24-26), Georgia State (Feb. 28), Kennesaw State (Mar. 1) and Belmont (Mar. 3-5).

The Jackets will then head north up I-75 for a non-conference contest at Kennesaw State (Mar. 7) before opening up its ACC slate at Miami (Fla.) (Mar. 10-12).

Tech will return home for a five-game home stand against Oklahoma (Mar. 14), North Carolina (Mar. 17-19) and Auburn (Mar. 21) before returning to the road for a three-game conference series at Wake Forest (Mar. 24-26).

The Mercer Bears (Mar. 28) and the Clemson Tigers (Mar. 31 – Apr. 2) will visit The Flats before the Yellow Jackets embark on a month of April that includes 13 road games and two five-game road swings.

The first five-game road trip includes stops at Auburn (Arp. 4), Notre Dame (Apr. 7-9) and Georgia (Apr. 11).

A weekend series versus Louisville (Apr. 13-15) highlights the home slate in April for the Yellow Jackets prior to its second five-game road swing with contests at Mercer (Apr. 18), Georgia State (Apr. 19) and Virginia Tech (Apr. 21-23).

A home game against Georgia (Apr. 25) is the first of four straight non-conference contests late in the season, as Coach Hall and the Jackets will head to the Windy City for a three-game series at UIC (Apr. 28-29) to conclude the month of April.

Georgia Tech will open up May with four games in four days with a three-game ACC series at home versus Pittsburgh (May 6-8) and a neutral site contest against Georgia at SunTrust Park (May 9).

The Jackets will wrap up its road slate with a three-game conference series at Duke (May 12-14) before returning home to close out the regular season at home against Georgia Southern (May 16) and Virginia (May 18-20).

The 2017 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Championship will be played at Louisville Slugger Field in downtown Louisville, Ky. from May 23-28. This year’s tournament will increase from 10 to 12 teams, and will feature a pool play format, leading into a four-team, single-elimination bracket to determine the league champion.
