Kent State has revealed its schedule for the 2017 season, which includes 17 home dates with the possibility of three more to be added.
The season will begin with road trips south Belmont and Florida International. The first weekend of play will be February 17-19 in Nashville followed by four games in Miami February 24-26.
The Flashes will then play at Wake Forest March 3-5. Friday will be a matchup with Radford, Saturday a doubleheader with the host school and Sunday a contest against Quinnipiac.
March 10-12 Kent State will travel to College of Charleston for a three game series.
The 2017 home opener will be Tuesday, March 14 against Western Illinois. The two teams will also play at Schoonover Stadium on March 15 before the Flashes travel once again for a three game set at Western Carolina.
The annual matchup with Pittsburgh will begin at home with a game scheduled for Tuesday, March 21. Mid-American Conference play will begin that weekend as Kent State heads to Ball State March 24-26. They will make a stop at Purdue on Tuesday, March 28.
The first MAC home series will be March 31-April 2 when Buffalo comes to Kent. The Flashes then stay in-state as they head to Ohio State for a marquee game on Wednesday, April 5.
The team currently has an open weekend April 7-9 that should be filled soon. After that, they travel to Bowling Green for a midweek non-conference game on April before a trip to Northern Illinois for a weekend series April 14-16. Kent State will remain on the road to go to Youngstown State and Pittsburgh in back-to-back midweek games April 18-19.
A seven game homestand is set to begin April 21 when Toledo comes to Schoonover Stadium for a MAC series. Bowling Green will then visit for another non-conference midweek game before Central Michigan comes to Kent April 28-30.
The month of May will start with a midweek trip to Canisius on the 2nd. Conference play will pick back up May 5-7 at Eastern Michigan. The final two MAC weekends will be May 12-14 at home against Miami and May 18-20 at Ohio with a home game against Youngstown State schedule in-between.
The 2017 Mid-American Conference Tournament will be held May 24-27 at All-Pro Freight Stadium in Avon, Ohio. Ticket information for the 2017 season will be coming soon.
