ST. LOUIS – Saint Louis head baseball coach Darin Hendrickson has announced SLU’s schedule for the upcoming season. The slate features several prominent teams from across the country including 2016 College World Series participant Oklahoma State.
The Billikens open the season with tournaments in San Antonio and Santa Clara, California. Saint Louis plays Lafayette, Incarnate Word and Notre Dame in San Antonio Feb. 17-19. The Bills then play Michigan, Santa Clara and Creighton in Santa Clara Feb. 24-26.
Saint Louis travels to Stillwater, Oklahoma, on March 1 to play Oklahoma State. The Cowboys were a No. 2 seed in the 2016 NCAA Championship. They advanced to the College World Series, falling to eventual national runner-up Arizona.
The Bills open the home schedule March 3-5 with a three-game series against Fairleigh Dickinson at the Billiken Sports Center. They also host in-state rival Missouri State on March 21.
The Atlantic 10 Conference schedule begins March 24 with a three-game series against St. Bonaventure. Saint Louis hosts St. Bonaventure, Fordham and Dayton in conference play. SLU travels to Rhode Island, UMass, Davidson, Richmond and George Mason.
The Billikens host the 2017 Atlantic 10 Conference Baseball Championship May 24-27 at the Billiken Sports Center. Saint Louis hosted the 2014 championship, finishing third in the tournament.
