2016 Great West League All-Star Game Rosters Released

GreatWestLeagueJuly 19, 2016, Portland, Oregon: The inaugural Great West League All-Star teams have been announced. The North Team (Portland, Medford and Chico) will meet the South Team (Marysville, Sacramento and Lodi) at Harry and David Field in Medford on Tuesday, July 26.

Each squad includes 23 players, including ten pitchers. The Lodi Crushers feature ten All-Stars, the most of any team. Sacramento, with four All-Stars, has the fewest.
A day of festivities on Monday, July 25 will be highlighted by an evening Home Run Derby. On Tuesday, first pitch will be at 6:35 pm, with a fireworks show following the game. Tickets remain for the GWL 2016 All-Star Game by visiting www.medfordrogues.com.
Marysville Gold Sox manager Mike Walker will skipper the South Squad, while Josh Hogan of the Medford Rogues will lead the North Team. Sacramento manager Larry Wolfe and Lodi manager George Cecchetti will serve as coaches with Walker, while Portland manager J.J. Altobelli and Chico manager Fred Ludwig will coach for Hogan.

In its first season, the Great West League has players from Cal State Fullerton, Tennessee, Oregon, San Diego State, BYU, UCLA, Tulane, Long Beach State, Hawaii, Houston, UC Santa Barbara, Georgetown, UC Riverside, Washington, Dartmouth, Loyola Marymount, Texas Tech, New Mexico, and San Jose State among other schools.
