Get onboard the Titan hosting bus. It’s inevitable.
No it’s not. They need to be sent somewhere. They don’t deserve it.
I’d like nothing more than for the Titans to go to Gainesville as a 4 seed. But they’ll host. This site and you have a minority opinion on that.
The NCAA needs western seeds…there is no doubt about that. They don’t deserve it though. I also think the NCAA might give a Big Ten school a regional like they have done before.
What does “deserve” it mean? How do you measure that?
Besides the Texas Tech series victory, they don’t have a series victory over another team in our bracket. Only Indiana is a bubble team.
I guess you missed the UCSB series that just happened. I guess you’re projecting a series loss to Long Beach in two weeks too.
eight26, if CSF ends up winning their last 2 series and winning the Big West, They are a lock to host in my opinion. I wouldnt worry too much if yall take care of business. They need some West Coast hosts and the Pac 12 is suspect to put it nicely.
I forecast for a living. So I am always particularly interested in peoples’ reasoning being “projections.” I wouldn’t say I’m worried about where or who the Titans play. They’ve always taken on anyone anywhere. They’ll do just fine.
By that logic, how does Coastal Carolina host? Unless I’m missing something, they have only played one series against a team in your field. And Georgia Tech swept them.
Still the only projections out there without Texas Tech as a National Seed. If they win the final series this weekend they will be the Big 12 Champs by at least 4 games. Sure the league is down but the Committee isnt taking a 5th or 6th place ACC/SEC team over the big 12 Champs. It is also inevitable.
NC State got swept this past weekend by Louisville (not terribly shameful @ Louisville) but didnt move from 6 National Seed.
Georgia #2 seed? They are 26-26 with game vs Georgia Tech, (3) vs Tenn and then SEC tourney. Not close to a top 32 team. Their RPI of 26 does not weigh that much.
Yeah, agreed. Georgia is squarely on the bubble. RPI is not the only factor for the committee.
These are done as if the season ended on Monday night

Than that makes my point even more. Right now they are not a top 50 team let alone top 32. Now they finish 3-1 and win a couple games in Hoover and probably get 3 seed cause #1 SOS and good finish.
I like to try and figure out how many bids are left. Right now i count about 34 teams “safely” in and 8 “bubble in” (Creighton, Nebraska, UNCW, Long Beach St, Washington, SE Louisiana, South Alabama, Gonzaga). Yes only their are only 33 atlarge bids so once one of those 42 get their conference automatic bids that number goes down and becomes easier to figure out who is in line for bids and who they are up against. Then of course you have factor in the stolen bids which most years are between 4-8. Here is table use to adjust the numbers
Ole miss as the 5th national seed? Are you high? With their lousy conference schedule? They have done NOTHING of note other than beat Louisville on the road and LSU at home. Every other team worth their salt has beaten them including losing 3 of 4 to Mississippi State and getting SWEPT by South Carolina. They are in fifth place in the SEC and you have them as the 5th national seed? Oh and the 5th National seed doesn’t drop a midweek to Ark State either. Jeez. The only excuse for that is if they are sliding you a payment for placement like large companies push their products on search engines. I seriously hope that is what is going on.
