The last ditch efforts to save North Dakota baseball were not successful as UND interim president stated in a campus wide email.
“There was not a workable plan that would have generated enough revenue to sustain the program in the long run, So, with deep understanding of the pain experienced by our students who play baseball, as well as their supporters, we have been unable to reach agreement.
I wish we had a different result. However, in the end, we made the decision that we believe is in the best interest of athletics and the university.”
