LUBBOCK, Texas – Texas Tech head coach Tim Tadlock announced the 2016 baseball schedule Wednesday which is highlighted by 27 games inside Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park.
The Red Raiders will once again boast one of the most challenging non-conference slates in the country with 13 games against opponents who advanced to at least an NCAA Regional a year ago, including a pair of marquee home weekend series against San Diego State and 2015 College World Series participant Cal State Fullerton.
“We welcome the challenge of our 2016 schedule,” said Tadlock, who enters his fourth season leading his alma mater. “Top to bottom we play in one of the best leagues in the country and have tried to go out and schedule quality opponents to put our team in a position to play the game at the highest level possible each day.”
Texas Tech will open the 2016 season with nine of its first 13 games inside Dan Law Field at Rip Griffin Park, beginning Feb. 19 with the start of a four-game series against Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
