CHARLESTON, S.C. – College of Charleston baseball released its 56-game schedule, which features 33 games at Patriots Point, CofC head coach Matt Heath announced on Wednesday. Season tickets are on sale ($80-99) online at CofCSports.com/Tickets or by calling the CofC ticket office at 843.953.2632.
The Cougars home slate is highlighted by non-conference visits from Nebraska (Feb. 19-21), Coastal Carolina (March 2 and 22), The Citadel (March 5), Richmond (March 8), Mercer (March 11-13), Charleston Southern (March 16), Virginia Commonwealth (March 18-20), Georgia Southern (April 5), UC Santa Barbara (April 8-10) and Furman (May 17).
Home conference series include matchups against Delaware (March 25-27), James Madison (April 22-24), Northeastern (May 13-15) and William & Mary (May 19-21).
“This is a very exciting schedule that offers challenges both at home and on the road,” Heath said. “I am very excited about the caliber of competition we will be playing this season, especially at home.”
The team will open Heath’s first season at the helm of the Cougar program with a three-game series against Nebraska on Feb. 19. Patriots Point will play host to the six-team, double-elimination Colonial Athletic Association Championship that will take place from May 26-28.
CofC returns to Dick Houser Stadium to face Florida State (Feb. 26-28) after falling to the Seminoles in the 2015 Tallahassee Regional final. The Cougars will also travel to face in-state rivals South Carolina (March 29) and Clemson (May 10-11).
