PRINCETON, N.J. – The Princeton University baseball team has released its 2016 schedule, which includes seven home dates at Clarke Field.
The Tigers will open their campaign with a three-game set at Louisville on Mar. 4-6, before squaring off with Penn State, NY Tech and Richmond on Mar. 12-14. After a pair of games against Old Dominion (Mar. 15-16), Princeton will travel to the nation’s capital for a four-game series against Georgetown (Mar. 17-20). The Tigers close out the first road swing of the season with a pair of doubleheaders against Navy in Annapolis, Md. on Mar. 26-27.
Princeton opens its home schedule against Seton Hall on Mar. 30. The Tigers then welcome Dartmouth (Apr. 2) and Harvard (Apr. 3) to Clarke Field for the start of Ivy League play before wrapping up their first homestand with a showdown against in-state rival Monmouth on Apr. 6.
Going back on the road the following weekend, Princeton heads to New Haven, Conn. on Apr. 9 for a doubleheader against Yale before continuing on to Providence, R.I. for a pair of league games against Brown (Apr. 10). After a mid-week tilt against St. John’s on Apr. 13, the Tigers return home for four games against Penn on Apr. 16-17.
Kicking off its final roadtrip of the season, Princeton faces Rider on Apr. 20 before crossing the Hudson River for a four-game set against Columbia on Apr. 23-24. Squaring off against Cornell in Ithaca on Apr. 29, the Tigers are back at Clarke for the final doubleheader of the regular season against the Big Red on May 1.
This year’s Ivy League Championship is scheduled for the weekend of May 7-8.
