The 2016 season will officially get underway for the Warhawks on Friday, February 19 as they begin a three-game series at Southeastern Louisiana. ULM will remain on the road as their first seven games of the season are away from Warhawk Field (at Southern Miss, February 23; at Western Carolina, February 26-28).

ULM will play its first home game on Tuesday, March 2nd when the squad begins a two-game midweek series against Valparaiso. It marks the first time since the 2010 season that the Warhawks will not play a home game in the month of February. In 2010, ULM’s first home game came on March 5th in the first of three games against Mississippi Valley State.

The Warhawks will continue the eight game home stretch with weekend series against Samford (March 4-6) and Sun Belt Conference member Texas State (March 11-13). After a pair of midweek games at McNeese State (March 15-16), ULM will host Dallas Baptist in the final non-conference weekend series of the season. The three-game set against DBU will begin on Friday, March 18th.

After a midweek game against Louisiana Tech (March 22), the Warhawks will entertain the Mountaineers in a pre-Easter series beginning on Thursday, March 24th. ULM will close out the month of March with a midweek home-and-home series against Northwestern State (Natchitoches, March 29th; Monroe, March 30th).

The month of April features 19 games in a span of just 30 days, with just seven of those games being played at Warhawk Field. ULM will travel to Mobile, Ala. for a three-game Sun Belt Conference series (April 1-3), before hosting Jackson State on April 5th. The Warhawks will then head to Texas for four games beginning with a contest at TCU on April 6th. The squad will then play a three game conference set at UT Arlington (April 8-10).

Two contests against SEC schools at minor league parks will bookend a home conference series against Georgia State (April 15-17). The Warhawks will play Arkansas at Dickey Stephens Park in Little Rock, Ark. (April 12th), and Mississippi State at MGM Park in Biloxi, Miss (April 20th).

ULM will travel back to the state of Arkansas for a three-game conference series against Arkansas State (April 22-24), before a road tilt at Stephen F. Austin (April 26). ULM will host Georgia Southern (April 29-May 1) before playing its final non-conference game of the season at Louisiana Tech (May 4).

The Warhawks will close out the Sun Belt Conference season with a road trip to Troy (May 6-8), a home series against Little Rock (May 13-15), followed by the final series of the season at UL Lafayette (May 19-21).

The Sun Belt Conference Tournament will begin on Wednesday, May 25th with the tournament championship game set for Sunday, May 29th. Texas State will serve as the host for this year’s conference tournament. The NCAA tournament will get underway on June 3 with the opening games of the regional round (NCAA Regionals, June 3-6; NCAA Super Regionals, June 10-13; NCAA College World Series, June 18-28/29).
