DAYTON, Ohio – The University of Dayton baseball team announced its 2016 schedule on Monday.
“Our schedule is always prepared with the thought of our players and our program to be able to confide in each other headed into each Atlantic 10 weekend series,” said Head Coach Tony Vittorio. “We also consider teams that we feel there is a chance we might compete against in regional play. I feel this schedule allows us to do this.”
The Flyers have put together a strong schedule for the upcoming season including a road tournament at the Spartanburg Classic, a home event in the Flyer Classic, and 22 home games total.
Dayton will face quality regional opponents in Furman, High Point, Ball State, Miami, Northern Kentucky, and Kentucky. On top of that, the Flyers will host Saint Louis, St. Bonaventure, George Washington, and Davidson in Atlantic 10 play.
Road series within the conference will take place George mason, Rhode Island, and Fordham.
