The University of North Carolina Athletics Department received their Notice of Allegations due to the ongoing investigation of paper classes. The notice of allegations includes at least three direct references to the UNC Baseball program and the paper classes. I have included the three references below.
FI184: – Email from Blanton to (REDACTED) , then baseball student-athlete. This includes, but is not limited to, Blanton commenting to (REDACTED) that independent study courses have “gone the way of the dinosaur.” (Item5_BlantonTo _ _NorthCarolina_00231)
FI186: – Email from Blanton to (REDACTED) , then baseball student-athlete. This includes, but is not limited to, (REDACTED) inquiry regarding the possibility of an independent study course. (Item5_BlantonTo _ _NorthCarolina_00231)
FI195: – Email from Crowder to (REDACTED) then baseball student-athlete. This includes, but is not limited to, Crowder mentioning that courses are not called independent study, but rather “special arrangements.” (Item5_BlantonFromCrowder_ _NorthCarolina_00231)
