Once again the baseball season is here with us. It is set to begin on Friday in earnest. The top sports sites looks at the ranking of three college sites in order to come up with the Omaha list. Vanderbilt
They won the national championship by an amazing 51-21. Some of the returning players are SS Dansby, SP Carson Fulmer, LF Bryan Reynolds, 1B Zander Wiel and SP walker Buehler. One year after winning the title, Vanderbilt is the preseason number one. All they need to become champions is a strong team. The leader of the team will be Hayden stone. Hayden was able to get the freshman all American. Apart from this, Zander Wiel, Bryan Reynods and Dansby Swanson will be back in the lineup. Swanson was able to lead the team in 27 doubles, 63 runs and 22 steals in the previous season. He will replace Vince Conde as the shortstop. Virginia
The team was the national runner up last season. Some of the returning players include OF Joe McCarthy, SP Nathan Kirby and SP Brandon Waddell. There will be a makeover in the lineup. John La Prise is back on the team and is definitely set to continue with this great performance to the coming season. He is definitely the guy to watch coming season.
Florida
This team got a lot of freshmen such as 1B peter Alonso and Sp Logan shore. Logan shore became the SEC freshman. Alonso on the other hand, hit .264, two triples, for homers and six doubles among others. The team also had Puk who will go into pitching this season. The lineup of this team will consist of a few freshmen as well as bobby Poyner, Taylor Lewis and Danny young. Josh Tobias and Harrison Bader will also join the team. Las season saw Bader bat a high of .337. Tobias on the other hand had a .305.
LSU
This team lost in the regional and this has led to several changes in the team lineup. The returning starter, sophomore Jared Poche will be joined by freshmem such as Jake Latz, Alex Lange, Doug Norman and Jake Godfrey. The lineup will have the top hitters. Alex Bregman will be one of the six hitters after having a strong finish.
TCU
This team was ranked number three in shutouts. They were also the leading in WHIP and ERA. In as much as the team did not win in the first round, the players are still in good shape. Morrison won five games. Tyler Alexander posted 2.36 ERA and this saw him being named an all American freshman. There are a number of contributors who have left the team’s lineup. Baseman Garrett Crain will also join the team. Garrett hit .413 in the previous year.
