Eugene, Ore. – Twentieth-ranked Oregon scored once in the seventh and again in the eighth inning on Thursday to overcome winless New Mexico State 3-1 in the Ducks home opener at PK Park.

It was the first of a four-game series between the Ducks (4-1) and Aggies (0-5).

Austin Grebeck, in the game as a pinch-hitter, scored the go-ahead run for the Ducks. Catcher Shaun Chase unloaded a solo homer past the scoreboard in left-center in the eighth for the final margin.
