ACCLogoThe Atlantic Coast Conference has proven its dominance in the world of collegiate baseball, placing teams in the top 25 annually and sending teams to the College World Series nearly every year. This season is no different; in 2015 the ACC has the second most amount of top 25 teams according to NCBWA with five, trailing only the Southeastern Conference, which has seven teams, ranked in the top 25.

All 12 teams kick off the 2015 campaign on Friday with a packed opening weekend that includes non-conference contests and teams traveling to participate in tournaments around the country. ESPN will televise a record 675 college baseball games throughout their networks this season and to kick it off for the ACC will be Florida State when Oakland travels to Tallahassee for a three game series, all three games will be televised on ESPN3.

Schools traveling to tournaments across the country include Pittsburgh, which will be playing in the Snowbird Classic in Port Charlotte, Florida. Pitt has three games against non-conference teams; St. Louis, Kansas State and Ohio State. The University of Louisville will participate in the Opening Weekend Challenge at Bright House Field in Clearwater, Florida. They will take on Alabama State, USF and the 18th ranked Cal State Fullerton Titans. Georgia Tech will stay at home and host St. Johns (NY), Fordham and Liberty in the Atlanta Challenge. Boston College heads to Spartanburg, South Carolina to take on Wofford, Xavier and USC Upstate before heading to Baton Rouge, Louisiana for a three game set with no. 4 LSU Tigers.
