The South Carolina baseball team announced today the 2015 schedule that features 36 home games at Carolina Stadium as well as 24 games against 2014 NCAA Tournament teams. The Gamecocks open the season on Friday, Feb. 13, hosting a three-game series vs. College of Charleston.
South Carolina and Clemson will meet in a unique three-game setting for a sixth consecutive year. The series opens at Clemson on Friday, Feb. 27, shifts to the Reedy River Rivalry game at Fluor Field, home of the Greenville Drive, a minor league affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, on Saturday, and concludes at Carolina Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
South Carolina’s 30-game SEC slate begins Friday, Mar. 13, with Carolina hosting Kentucky. South Carolina also hosts Georgia (Mar. 27-Mar. 29), Vanderbilt (April 17-19), Auburn (May 1-3) and LSU (May 14-16). SEC three-game series opponents on the road are Missouri (Mar. 20-22), Mississippi State (April 3-5), Florida (April 10-12), Tennessee (April 24-26) and Texas A&M (May 8-10). The series against the Aggies will be the Gamecocks’ first trip to College Station in baseball in school history.
Additional in-state contests for the Gamecocks include Charleston Southern, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, Furman, Presbyterian, The Citadel, USC Upstate, Winthrop and Wofford.
