Washington State will remain on the road for games in Arizona, Feb. 19-22, against Big 12 opponents Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Kansas and Kansas State.

“We have a challenge to begin our season, that is for sure,” Cougar Head Coach Donnie Marbut said. “It will be good for our team to be tested on the road before playing at home and tackling the Pac-12 schedule.”

Washington State makes its first appearance in Pullman during an eight-game homestand against UC Riverside, Feb. 26-March 1 and Sacred Heart, March 5-8.

Pac-12 series at USC, March 13-15 and Oregon State, March 20-22 with a nonconference game at San Diego, March 17 make up the Cougars’ Spring Break trip. UCLA is the first Pac-12 opponent to visit Bailey-Brayton, March 27-29.

Washington State plays its lone game at Gonzaga, March 31, and then travels to California, April 2-4. Gonzaga come to Pullman, April 7, followed by Washington, April 10-12, New Mexico State, April 13 and San Jose State, April 16-19.

The Cougars visit Utah, April 24-26 for a Pac-12 series and stop in Seattle to face the Huskies, April 27 in a nonconference game. Washington State hosts Arizona, May 1-3 and Oregon, May 8-10 in back-to-back Pac-12 series and entertains Portland in Pasco, Wash., May 12. The regular season concludes with a series at Arizona State, May 15-17 and at home against Stanford, May 22-24.

Washington State is currently in the middle of its fall practice season. The strength of the Cougars is starter Joe Pistorese and bullpen veterans, Matt Bower, Sam Triece and Ian Hamilton. The latter is coming off a Freshman All-American season in 2014. This fall, he has yielded one earned run in 10 innings while striking out 14 and posting a WHIP of 0.700. Bower and Pistorese have each posted a 2.00 ERA in nine innings while Triece has fanned seven in 2 1/3 innings.
