The LMU baseball program released another home-heavy 2015 schedule that features 31 games to be played at Page Stadium. While a few game times are yet to be determined, 23 of the 31 home games are currently scheduled to be played under the lights.
The schedule features 16 games against teams that made the NCAA Tournament last year, including midweek games against College World Series qualifiers in TCU (March 10 at home) and UC Irvine (May 12 at UCI).
After playing no non-conference road weekend series last year, LMU will hit the road for a non-conference weekend series just once in 2015. Making the most of the opportunity, the Lions will travel to Fayetteville, Ark. for a tough three-game series at NCAA Tournament qualifier Arkansas starting on March 6.
Home weekend series in non-conference play include three-game sets against San Jose State, St. Joseph’s and NCAA Tournament qualifier Nebraska. Midweek games will see TCU, San Diego State, UC Santa Barbara, Hawaii, UC Riverside, UNLV and Long Beach State come to Page.
The West Coast Conference slate will be tough as always, as LMU will open conference play at home against Santa Clara before traveling to Pepperdine for a three-game series. The Lions will then host Gonzaga, travel to Saint Mary’s and welcome BYU to campus over the next three weekend series. A home series with Pacific will be followed by a trip to Portland, setting the table for the final two weekend series against San Diego at home and on the road at San Francisco. The Lions will then hope to reach the WCC Championship Series from May 21-24 for the second straight year.
