TUCSON, Ariz. – The University of Arizona baseball program has announced its 2015 baseball schedule with a slate of 35 games to be played at Hi Corbett Field along with 20 road contests. All opponents are confirmed, but exact dates and times are subject to change pending the Pac-12 Conference and its television partners selecting broadcasts later this fall.
The season begins with a 10-game homestand at Hi Corbett Field, beginning with a three-game set against Eastern Michigan (Feb. 13-15). A 30-game Pac-12 Conference schedule begins a month later in Tucson against Utah (March 13-15), and the regular season schedule concludes against Abilene Christian (May 22-24) as Arizona once again draws its conference bye week at the end of May.
Highlighting the non-conference schedule is a three-game series against perennial power Rice, which finished No. 25 in the USA Today Coaches’ Poll last season. The Owls will be in Tucson Feb. 20-22.
Arizona will also have two tough road trips out of conference, beginning with a three-game series at Mississippi State (Feb. 27-March 1) in Starkville, Miss. Later in March, the Wildcats will take on Cal State Fullerton for a two-game midweek series March 10-11 in Fullerton, Calif.
The rest of the non-conference schedule includes matchups with North Dakota State (Feb. 17-18), Oakland (Feb. 24-25), New Mexico State (March 3-4) and Portland (March 6-8) – all in Tucson. The Wildcats also host rival Arizona State for two non-league games (April 22 and April 28) after the conference series in Tempe earlier in the month.
Arizona’s conference schedule also features home series against Oregon (March 27-29), USC (April 2-4), California (April 24-26) and Washington (May 8-10). The road trips include sets at Stanford (March 20-22), Arizona State (April 10-12), Oregon State (April 17-19), Washington State (May 1-3) and UCLA (May 15-17).
