TULSA, Okla. – Oral Roberts University baseball coach Ryan Folmar announced the 2015 Golden Eagle baseball schedule on Monday, featuring contests against Big 12 regular season champion Oklahoma State, Missouri Valley Tournament champion Dallas Baptist and College World Series qualifier Texas Tech.
“We are once again very excited to be taking on a great schedule,” said coach Folmar. “We have an outstanding non-conference schedule with a good balance of home series.”
The Golden Eagles start the season with a three-game set against Memphis (February 13-15). Other home non-conference series include SIU Edwardsville (February 20-22) and Dallas Baptist (March 6-8).
Louisiana Tech plays host to the Golden Eagles in their lone non-conference road series of the season beginning February 27 in Ruston, La.
Regional rivals Wichita State (February 17) and Missouri State (February 24) make early season visits to J.L. Johnson Stadium. The Golden Eagles head to MSU during week three on March 3, and WSU for the final non-conference game May 12.
The Golden Eagles will host OSU (March 31), Tech (April 7), UALR (April 21) and Oklahoma (May 5) in home midweek games, while traveling to OU (March 10), TTU (March 17-18), UALR (March 24) and OSU (March 31).
ORU’s return to Summit League play beings March 13 with a three-game home series against North Dakota State. The set against the Bison is the first of three-straight home series, as IPFW (March 20-22) and Omaha (March 27-29) come to J.L. Johnson Stadium.
On April 3, the Golden Eagles travel to South Dakota State for the first of three games, followed by road league series at Western Illinois (April 10-12) and at North Dakota State (April 17-19).
Each conference team will face each other with home-and-home series.
SDSU makes its trip to J.L. Johnson Stadium on April 24 for three games, while ORU hits the road for consecutive league sets against Omaha (May 1-3) and IPFW (May 8-10), before closing the season at home against WIU (May 14-15).
