As we have written about off and on over the last couple of seasons, former Boston College baseball player Pete Frates has been diagnosed with ALS or more commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. He has taken this diagnosis to raise awareness for the disease and raise money for research.
The latest way he has raised awareness is through the Ice Bucket challenge. Unless you have been living under a rock, this has been blowing up your Facebook feed. Mine especially since I have some personal connections to Boston area athletes/celebrities.
