Michigan’s Travis Maezes went 4-4 with two runs scored as the Whitecaps picked up a 7-3 victory over the Commodores. Ryan McCormick pitched 2.2 perfect innings to get the win in relief.
Bourne 4 Wareham 2
Uconn’s Blake Davey went 2-4 with two runs scored and a RBI as the Braces defeated Wareham 4-2.
Harwich 7 Yarmouth-Dennis 2
Northeastern’s James Mulry pitched seven shutout innings scattering five hits and a walk while striking out nine as the Mariners defeated the Red Sox 7-2.
Chatham 10 Orleans 2
Boston College’s Blake Butera went 2-5 with a double and four RBI as the Anglers defeated the Firebirds 10-2.
Hyannis 3 Cotuit 2
South Carolina’s DC Arebdas picked up three hits while walking once but it wasn’t enough as Cotuit dropped their season opener to Hyannis 3-2.
