Texas Tech wins the Coral Gables Regional

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – No. 23 Texas Tech shutout No. 3 Miami (Fla.) 4-0 to win the NCAA Coral Gables Regional Tournament championship game behind a complete-game shutout by junior left-handed pitcher Cameron Smith on Monday afternoon at Alex Rodrigues Park – Mark Light Field.

Texas Tech (43-19) wins its first-ever NCAA Regional Tournament while advancing to the program’s first-ever NCAA Super Regional. Tech will face College of Charleston in the Super Regional following the Cougars Gainesville Regional title.

Miami concludes its season with a 44-19 overall record.
