Anthony Italiano ripped a line drive down the left field line that brought home Casey Baker from second to give the Seawolves the early 2-1 win and helped lead them to a 4-1 victory.

The game lived up to the fanfare as Stony Brook’s Frankie Vanderka and Tommy Lawrence dueled throughout the game. Vanderka gave up only one run on eight hits while pitching the complete game. Lawrence gave up four runs (three earned) on nine hits while pitching eight innings.

Stony Brook’s Casey Baker led the Seawolves with two RBI while Kevin Courtney scored two runs.

Sam Balzano scored Maine’s only run scoring on a Scott Heath single. Heath went 2-3 while his teammate Colin Gay also went 2-3.
