COLUMBUS, Ohio – Zach Farmer, a freshman student-athlete on the Ohio State baseball team, will miss the remainder of the 2014 season because of health concerns.
Zach was diagnosed this week with acute myeloid leukemia. He had been feeling under the weather for about a week when he went to see Ohio State’s team doctor Monday. Zach and his family were made aware of his condition earlier this week and members of the baseball team were informed Tuesday prior to their trip to Louisville. Zach will begin treatments to fight his illness Monday at The James Cancer Hospital here at The Ohio State University.
