College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2014 college baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be adding players day-by-day until we get to number one!
Number 7 on the countdown is Indiana junior Kyle Schwarber. The Middletown, Ohio native attended Middletown High School where he was a four time team MVP. As a senior, he hit .474 with eight homeruns and .643 on-base percentage while driving in 28 and stealing eleven bases.
As a freshman, he appeared in 60 games hitting .300 with eight homers and 47 RBI. He was named a Freshman All-American by Louisville Slugger while being second team All-Big Ten selection behind the plate.
Schwarber continued his strong collegiate career as a sophomore by hitting .366 with 18 homers and 54 RBI. He was named a First Team All-American by National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association and a Louisville Slugger Second Team All-American by the Collegiate Baseball newspaper.
