Wofford releases 2014 Schedule

WoffordScheduleReleases_thumb.jpgSPARTANBURG, SC – Wofford College announced the 2014 baseball schedule today, with twenty of the first 22 games of the season at home. Road trips to Old Dominion and South Carolina are also on the slate for head coach Todd Interdonato and his squad.

The Terriers will play a total of 56 games, including 36 contests at Russell C. King Field on the Wofford campus. Southern Conference home series will be played against Appalachian State, Elon, Georgia Southern, UNC Greensboro, and Samford. Midweek contests include home-and-home series with Presbyterian College, Charleston Southern and Winthrop.

The season begins on Friday, February 14, against Dayton. The first two weekends are tournaments co-hosted by Wofford and USC Upstate. The Terriers will also face Morehead State and Ball State in the first weekend, while taking on Fordham, Butler, and Presbyterian the second weekend (February 21-23).

On February 28 the Terriers begin a three-game series against Longwood. Marist will visit King Field from March 7-9, followed by a home series against Alcorn State on March 14-16.

After a home game against USC Upstate on March 18, Wofford will begin Southern Conference play at Davidson (March 21-23). A road trip to Western Carolina (March 28-30) is followed with a home series against Appalachian State (April 4-6).

The Terriers will play two games at Old Dominion during spring break (April 8 and 9).
A home series against Elon (April 11-13) and a road trip to Furman (April 17-10) are followed by a home series against Georgia Southern (April 25-27) at King Field.

The month of May begins with a road conference series against The Citadel (May 2-4), followed by the annual visit to South Carolina on May 7. The regular season will conclude with home conference series against UNCG (May 9-11) and Samford (May 16-17).

The Southern Conference Tournament will be held from May 20-25 at Riley Park in Charleston, South Carolina.
