Virginia Tech head coach Pete Hughes will be named the next head coach at Oklahoma according to sources close to the situation. Hughes brought the Hokies to the NCAA Tournament as they went 40-22 while hosting an NCAA Regional which included the Sooners. Hughes coached Trinity University for two seasons in 1997 and 1998 accumulating a 52-30 record there before moving on.
Rumors are that Hughes will receive a raise of over 100k dollars.
Virginia Tech will name assistant coach Pat Mason as head coach at a press conference at 4:30pm today.
