Mercer with a very impressive 10-1 win vs Georgia Tech tonight
I was fortunate enough to see the game in person and thought Mercer looked very impressive. They used six different pitchers to shut down arguably the best offense in college baseball minus Brandon Thomas who is out right now. Do you think Mercer has a chance to get nationally ranked again next week and looking even further ahead securing an at-large berth to the NCAA’s?
absolutely…..and possibly a #2 seeding
They keep doing what the have been doing all year and they should be in good shape. Still too early to look at RPI but they should have solid # in couple few weeks when starts to matter.
The next two weekends are going to be HUGE for them. They are at North Florida this weekend and then host, what should be the A Sun series of year, FGCU. They win those 2 series and you would have to say if they not ranked by then they should be after that.
