College Baseball Daily continues our countdown to the start of the 2013 college baseball season by checking in on the Top 100 Players in the country. We will be counting down the players day-by-day until we reach number 1.
Number 62 on our Top 100 Countdown is Chad Green of Louisville. The 6’4 right-handed pitcher from Effingham, Illinois was a 37th round draft pick in 2010 by Toronto.
His freshman season saw him accumulate a record of 1-2 with a 1.93 ERA and 23 strikeouts in 21 appearances, including two starts.
As a sophomore in 2012, he went a perfect 5-0 with a 2.70 ERA and 42 strikeouts in 46.1 innings pitched in 22 appearances, including six starts.
He spent the summer of 2012 in the Cape Cod Baseball League with the Bourne Braves going 4-0 with 47 strikeouts in 42.0 innings pitched and a 2.79 ERA in eight appearances and seven starts.
