NC State’s Danny Canela transfers to Lee University

NC State senior catcher Danny Canela has transferred to Lee University according to multiple sources close to the situation. Canela was expected to backstop the Wolfpack this season after leading the team in hitting with a .348 batting average with six homers and 48 RBI.

Canela will play the 2013 season at Lee University which is a NAIA school transitioning to Division 2 right now.
