USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force baseball released its 2013 schedule, announced today by head coach Mike Kazlausky. The Falcons will play in nine different states in their 54-game schedule. The Falcons open the season Feb. 15 at UTSA.

Air Force will also play an exhibition game this Fall at UNLV on Nov. 4.

The Air Force Academy Baseball team is excited for the opportunity to once again travel across our great country to play our opponents,” Kazlausky said. “This Fall, we will travel to Las Vegas to play an exhibition game against UNLV on 4 Nov. For the Spring, we have 11 trips scheduled from the states of Florida, to Texas, to California and everywhere in between! The Air Force Academy is a leadership school and this allows our Cadets the ability to see and observe the different regions of our country. This also enables the Air Force Academy and our baseball program the exposure it rightly deserves as being touted as one of the greatest institutions in the country.”

The Falcons will host 20 home games, including home-and-home series against all five Mountain West opponents.

Air Force opens the 2013 season with a three game set, Feb. 15-17, at UTSA. The following weekend, Feb., 22-24 has the Falcons in Kinston, N.C., to take on Navy in a three-day four-game series at the Freedom Classic.

The Falcons have five road trips and two home series in the busy month of March. The Falcons play four games in three days, March 1-3, at the Snowbird Baseball Classic in Port Charlotte, Fla. Air Force then travels to Boiling Springs, N.C. March 8-10 for a three-game set at Gardner-Webb. The Falcons open MW play March 15-17 at Nevada.

The home-opening series is March 19-20 against Nebraska-Omaha, followed by a weekend series March 22-24 against Fresno State. Air Force closes out March with a two-game set March 26-27 at Wichita State, followed by a weekend series March 29-31 at UNLV.

Air Force opens April at Northern Colorado on the third. The Falcons then host New Mexico April 5-7. It’s then right back on the road for the Falcons, traveling to Nebraska-Omaha on April 9 and Creighton on April 10.

The Falcons host San Diego State April 12-14 and Northern Colorado on April 16. The next weekend has the Falcons traveling to Fresno State, April 19-21, followed by a trip to Northern Colorado on April 23. The Falcons close out the month with a three-game set April 26-28 against Nevada and a mid-week game April 30 against Northern Colorado.
