SAN DIEGO — The high school All-Americans representing the East squad fell 7-6 Sunday night in the Perfect Game All-American Classic at Petco Park.
Georgia commit Clint Frazier helped the East squad jump out to an early 6-1 lead. He got the East on the board first with a line drive sacrifice fly in the first inning. The 6-foot-1, 190-pound five-tool outfielder singled, stole a base and scored in the fourth inning on Mississippi State football commit Corder Sandberg’s two run single to right field.
Frazier later added another RBI when he one-hopped the centerfield fence with another laser shot, but it wasn’t enough. The West rallied for six runs in the sixth and seventh innings and the East squandered scoring chances, having two runners thrown out at home plate.
