FALLING
College of Charleston (31-15) slides 2 spots to #9 losing the first games at Clemson. The Cougars dropped Saturday’s opener at Clemson 4-3 in 13 innings. CofC took a 3-2 lead in the top of 13th on Daniel Aldrich’s 3rd double of game. Clemson entered the btm of 13th without a hit since the 2nd inning. After a 1 out single, FC and intentional BB but runners on 1st and 3rd with 2 outs former CofC player Thomas Brittle hit a 0-2 pitch into left for single and tie ball game. A wild pitch to next batter brought home the winning run. After that heartbreaking loss Clemson won Sunday’s game 12-3.
Sam Houston St (32-15) falls 5 spots to #10 after a 1-3 week. The Bearkats lost 10-0 vs Texas A&M Tuesday and lost 2 of 3 at UT-Arlington in Southland Conference play. It was the first SLC series loss of the year and Sam Houston St still has a 3 game lead over SE Louisiana.
New Mexico St (30-17) drops 7 to #13 with a 0-4 week. The Aggies lost 12-7 to Texas St Tuesday before traveling to the island and getting swept by Hawaii in WAC play. They have now lost 6 games in a row and their once NCAA lock is not so much.
Stetson (31-17) falls 10 spots to #19 after a 1-3 week. The week started with a 5-4 loss in 13 innings to Central Florida on Wednesday and ended with an 11-6 loss to SC Upstate on Sunday. The Hatters lost Friday’s opener 8-4 and evened the series with 6-3 win on Saturday before the 11-6 loss Sunday. ****RPI RESULTS FROM WARRENNOLAN.COM****

Stetson doesn’t deserve to be ranked ahead of Upstate.
Stetson dropped 10 spots getting beat in 13 innings by UCF and dropping series at home to SC Upstate. That is pretty big drop. SC Upstate would have moved up even higher but they lost at Wofford mid week and beat Georgia St. Cant just drop a team under the other because they won a series. Both teams do not have a very good record vs top teams. SC Upstate is 2-2 vs top 50 RPI teams and Stetson is 0-4 according to warrennolan.com. vs top 100 SC Upstate (5-7) Stetson (9-12). While i do not use RPI to determine where to rank a team it is useful.
Hey guys I think its finally time to sneak Mercer into this top-25 poll after the stretch it has been on. They are now up to 33 wins on the season and just put together a 4-1 week including a huge series win over North Florida.
There were a bunch of teams that had good weeks. Have not had time to go over all the results yet to see who gets in but will definetly look at Mercer.
I went to Western Carolina at Georgia Southern series this weekend and did not get in till late so the top 25 will be a day late.
No worries, remember the Bears already beat Georgia Southern 12-4 earlier this season since I saw the Eagles pulled out a good series win at WCU
Chim097,
Couldnt do it this week sorry. It was really not easy to determine the 2 teams. There were 10 teams that had good weeks but nothing special. Mercer was one of around 6 or 7 that i narrowed list down to. Love the series win vs UNF but Alabama St no
