10 ACC teams?

You have the Gamecocks as a top 8 seed?!!! I am a Clemson fan, we lost 2 of 3 to them but they were all close. I don’t understand that. We should be hosting our own Regional. This is a joke.

RPI is the reason

No way CofC gets put in an Oregon regional.

Why is LSU not a top 8 seed, granted RPI may be low, but they took 2/3 at Florida, swept Arkansas, or could thing change with the series in Lexington this weekend, for the better or Worse?

The series loss to Appalachian State doesn’t help their case

texas st over southeastern la…no way…Slu just swept them…(28-13, 13-7)…in second in SLC….

Swept them at HOME after Tx ST had like 10 straight games on the road. Would be much different at home. They have like an 18-3 record or something at home and if played in San Marcos where they pack their stadium SELU would be playing in crowds of which they rarely see playing the strength of schedule they’ve been playing. Plus TX ST’s #1 pitcher has been injured since the first week of march after giving up only 2 runs in a walk off win against rice. Both of rice’s runs I read should have been ruled errors. SELU has a very limited following and no FBS football team. They have to schedule better teams (not south Alabama, Jackson State, alcorn st, centra mich. etc) if they intend on impressing the likes of the ruthless NCAA select. team. It’s kind of part of being a commuter transfer school that makes it hard for them to get in lime light

Southeastern LA is not a commuter transfer school and the Lions swept Indiana State another tourney team played a bubble Tulane team three times and lost a one run game to SEC Champs # 3LSU and the Lions dominated the All SLC team.

SELA is not a commuter school. Why would anyone commute an hour from Baton Rouge or New Orleans to commute to Hammond?

What does Vanderbilt need to do to get in the at-large discussion?

Get to 30 wins is the best way

Mississippi State?

AgentOrange April 23, 2012 - 5:50 pm

Sam Houston State should be at least a #2 seed!

No depth. Have only been fortunate to pickup wins because the majority of their games have been home. As soon as the RPI system is changed next year to where winning home games don’t help you as much as winning games can you could see some pretty big differences all across the board. Plus they have a bunch of young talent that may not fare to well once the pressure gets to them in regionals. Despite having the outright conference championship on lock I do not foresee them even making it to the championship game in the conference tourney and hurting their chances of picking up a 2 seed.

What does Maryland have to do to stay in the Tournament?

Serena April 25, 2012 - 8:48 pm

San jose over NMSU? What the hell! We are top of our conference, 150+ above them in RPI rankings, and have the 30 wins you like to see. What’s the thought behind the WAC Champ snub?
