LOS ANGELES — The Utah Utes took a pair of close games in their first ever Pac-12 games Friday afternoon at USC’s Dedeaux Field.
Utah completely shut down the Trojans’ offensive attack. The Utes got great pitching efforts from starters Joe Pond (6 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 7 K) and Brock Duke (7 IP, 8 H, ER, 5 K) and relievers Tyler Wagner and Mitch Watrous allowed only hit in five innings.
