MALIBU, Calif. — Jon Moscot was brilliant as he twirled a five-hit complete game in Pepperdine’s 2-1 win Friday afternoon at Eddy D. Field Stadium.
Moscot shut down the Rhode Island offense, allowing only an unearned run in the third inning. He was able to mix his pitches well and maintained the same velocity throughout the game from the first inning to the ninth inning.
After the game I talked to Moscot and Pepperdine head coach Steve Rodriguez about Moscot’s performance:
Coach Rodriguez talked about making Moscot the Friday starter. He also talks about how his team responded to a couple close losses to Louisville last weekend and Rodriguez says he’s not worried about the recent offensive struggles of his freshmen:
