Before last season, I was one of the strongest critics of Florida International allowing Garrett Wittels to play during the 2011 season with rape charges pending. The charges ended up being dropped and Wittels lost his hitting streak on the first day of the season and went back into obscurity. ESPN.com recently caught up with Wittels who is now in the St. Louis Cardinals system to discuss the charges and the challenges he has faced.
