CJ Hinojosa will NOT attend Texas this spring

Incoming Texas recruit CJ Hinojosa will not join the baseball program this spring according to multiple CBD sources close to the situation. He was expected to join the squad for the spring semester as he was planning on graduating from high school early. In the past few weeks, we have had multiple sources state to us that there was some concern that there was some academic concerns with the player.

CJ will be eligible for the 2012 MLB Draft and will probably be selected high enough that he will not be attending Texas.

This news now leaves the Longhorns with Christian Summers the likely starter at shortstop and Brooks Marlow at second base. The Longhorns also lost starting second baseman Jordan Etier who was kicked off the baseball squad after being arrested for marijuana possession and resisting arrest a couple of weeks ago.

This article is unclear… Does this mean Hinojosa won’t join the Longhorns until after the 2011-12 school year? Will he not attend Texas at all? Might he be included in the 2012 MLB Draft after all??

CJ hinojosa has never used steroids, nor will he ever. I am a family friend and just discovered this article. My best guess is to delete this unnecessary, haneus “news” article and it’s ignorant comments that follow.

We didn’t report the steroid issues but that commentator wasn’t the first time I heard of them.
