Georgia State announced its 2012 baseball schedule today, boasting strong opponents and 29 home games on their slate.
According to a press release from the program, the Panthers will play five teams from last season’s NCAA tournament this spring: Georgia, Georgia Tech, James Madison, Austin Peay and Stetson. Said head coach Greg Frady in the release:
“This schedule will be one of the most difficult and challenging of my tenure as coach at Georgia State. We’ve added some new tests, continue series with the top teams in the state and have our traditional conference foes who always present a challenge.”
Georgia State will play 56 games in total, 30 of which will be in the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA.) The Panthers will begin conference play on March 16th with a series at Northeastern University.
