NEW YORK – Columbia will play 16 home games on Robertson Field at Satow Stadium during the upcoming 2012 season.

The challenging schedule features a number of top-notch opponents during the early season. The Lions begin with a four-game series at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina, beginning on March 1.

A week later, Columbia will take part in the Jack Gifford Memorial Tournament, co-hosted by San Jose State and Santa Clara in northern California. The Lions will face the two hosts, including San Jose State twice, along with Lehigh and Utah.

From there, Columbia will travel south along the Pacific Coast Highway to take on Pepperdine before a four-game weekend series at San Diego to end the spring break trip.

The Lions will return north to begin their home slate with a doubleheader against Stony Brook on March 23, followed by a trip to Holy Cross the following day.

After a midweek game vs. Army at home, Columbia opens the Ivy League schedule against Yale on March 31 with a doubleheader, then two games vs. Brown the day after.

The Lions close out the regular season with a home-and-home series against Penn beginning on April 27 in Philadelphia and finishing in New York City on Saturday, April 28.
