Wake Forest centerfielder Kevin Jordan returned to the diamond on Tuesday with the opening of practice for teh Demon Deacons. Jordan sat out last season after receiving a kidney transplant from Wake Forest head coach Tom Walter who was honored with College Baseball Insider naming an award after him. after Jordan’s kidneys shut down from ANCA vasculitis, a type of autoimmune swelling disorder caused by abnormal antibodies. When those abnormalities show up in the kidneys, they can cause blood and protein to leak into the urine and could result in kidney failure.
