Here is your Fall Ball Scrimmages Updates for September 18th.
UNC Fall Ball Intrasquad Scrimmage: Navy 4 Blue 4
Chapel Hill, N.C.- Trailing 4-3 in the bottom of the seventh and final inning, the Navy squad used a pair of bunts to manufacture a run that scored Parks Jordan to tie the scrimmage at 4-4.
Mike Zolk’s RBI single to left gave Blue an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second before Navy came back with a pair of runs in the bottom of the inning. A Jacob Stallings single to center tied the score at 1-1, then Michael Russell’s squeeze bunt drove in Tommy Coyle to put Navy up 2-1. Blue knotted things up at 2-2 in the top of the third on Brian Holberton’s single to center.
Navy regained the lead at 3-2 in the bottom of the fifth on a great Jacob Stallings squeeze bunt that went for a single. Blue went back ahead in the top of the sixth. Seth Baldwin scored on a wild pitch, then Adam Griffin drove in a run with a double to left center. Navy then used a pair of bunts in the bottom of the seventh to tie the scrimmage at 4-4.
