College Baseball Daily has confirmed that current independents Cal State-Bakersfield and Dallas Baptist have accepted the Western Athletic Conference’s membership invitation as associate members in baseball. The Roadrunners and Patriots will join the league in beginning in the 2012-2013 academic year and will begin play in the league in the 2013 season. The two teams will be affiliate members initially for two seasons during which time they will evaluate long term membership.
