USAF ACADEMY, Colo. – Air Force baseball released its 2012 schedule, announced today by head coach Mike Kazlausky. The 55-game schedule includes games at traditional powers LSU and Oklahoma and a three-game neutral-site series against Navy.

Air Force opens the season Feb. 17-19 in Baton Rouge, La., taking on Alcorn State and LSU. The Falcons will see a familiar face in the LSU games as Tiger head coach Paul Mainieri was Air Force’s head coach from 1989-94.

The Falcons then head to Kinston, N.C. for a three-game set against service academy rival Navy, Feb. 24-26. A week later, March 2-4, the Falcons return to the Carolinas, playing road games at USC Upstate, Wofford and Gardner Webb.

Air Force continues its road swing March 9-11 with a four-game series at Portland. The following week has the Falcons in the Midwest, taking on Saint Louis, Tennessee-Martin and Western Illinois, March 16-18 in St. Louis, Mo. Air Force then plays a two-game set, March 20-21 at Oklahoma.

The Falcons open their home slate with a three-game set, March 23-25, vs. UNLV, followed by a pair of games at Cal State Bakersfield, March 27-28 and three games at San Diego State, March 30-April 1.

Air Force returns home to host Northern Colorado on April 4 and New Mexico, April 5-7. The Falcons then play a conference series at TCU, April 13-15, and UNLV, April 20-22, and then a road trip to Northern Colorado April 24.

The Falcons close out the month of April with four home games, hosting Northern Colorado on April 25 and San Diego State, April 27-29.

Air Force opens May with a road trip to Lawrence, Kan., taking on Kansas and Missouri State, May 4-6. The Falcons next host their final home series May 11-13 against TCU. After a May 15 road game at Northern Colorado, AFA closes out Mountain West play with a three-game set, May 18-20, at New Mexico.

The Falcons will be vying for a spot at the Mountain West Championships May 24-27 in Las Vegas. Four of the top five teams in the MW make the tournament.
