FORT WORTH, Texas – TCU baseball head coach Jim Schlossnagle announced the creation of the RB Eye Foundation, a non-profit organization created to promote healthy vision in children. The foundation will hold its first event, Eye on the Ball, Saturday, Oct. 15.
“I personally appreciate the TCU and Fort Worth community stepping up to help Kami and I support vision research for children,” said Schlossnagle. “This issue is very close to our family and heart and I am so excited about the research and treatment we can improve with the resources we will raise over time. The Eye on the Ball event will be a really fun day and night and instrumental in kicking off our efforts to help the improve the vision of the children in Tarrant County.”
Coach Schlossnagle and his wife, Kami, invite everyone to a day of tennis followed by a night of dinner and dancing. The Eye on the Ball event will feature a ladies’ doubles tennis tournament at the TCU Tennis Center followed by a dinner and auction at River Ranch in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Entertainment at the dinner will be provided by Texas music legend Charlie Robison.
Funds raised at the event will go to Fort Worth’s Child Vision Center, a research and diagnostic center created to advance world-class eye care for all children, as well as other charitable causes supported by the RB Eye Foundation.
