La Velle E. Neal III of The Star-Tribune took to task the MLB Draft in his weekly column for the paper. As he states in the article, MLB teams committed 17 percent more to 2011 MLB Draft picks when compared to 2010. Interesting enough, Bud Selig wants to set up a hard slotting system for the draft to avoid the last hour of signings that happens yearly.
