One interesting area that has started to churn out MLB Draft picks is the US Virgin Islands. Two years ago, they had four players selected with each of them signing with professional squad. Last year, three more were selected. This year though they had two players selected with Jharel Cotton and Deshorn Lake. Both players turned down the MLB squads to head to East Carolina this fall. They are two among of 12 players that will be playing college baseball next season.
